Fresco Platform Update – Version 1.4.5 (9 February 2026)

This release introduces new theme options, smarter listings, migration improvements and a wide range of visual and usability fixes - all designed to give editors and site visitors a more polished, consistent Fresco experience.

• More theme colours
  • New light and dark colour theme palettes are now available, some aligning with existing Oxford brand colours and Department colours.
• Better list formatting
  • Improved spacing and styling for bulleted and numbered lists.
• Able to set a primary domain
  • Sites using multiple domains can now choose a single primary (canonical) domain for search engines to improve SEO and more control over how duplicate content is indexed.
• Improved date picker in Listing components for a clearer filtering experience.
• Improved date filtering for events
  • Event listings now handle past events more intelligently, giving users clearer and more accurate results.
• Improved Mosaic‑to‑Fresco migrations  
  • Added migration for static and selected content slideshows  

• Icons in the Footer display correctly
  • Icon text is not displayed and the icon remains centred in the background.
• Display of Taxonomy filter terms
  • Filters in Listing components now wrap neatly, with better alignment and spacing for easier scanning.
• Improved Mosaic‑to‑Fresco migrations
  • Improved logic for migrating Card headings in Listings
  • Fixed an issue with Listings filtered by content type
  • Migrated image captions now inherit theme styling
• Correct padding applied to Flexbox items
  • Flexbox now space correctly, improving consistency across page sections
• Improved image caption styling in Text component
  • Now display consistent styling and correct width.
• Deleting media
  • When deleting a media file that is in use, the edit screen now clearly shows an “Image not found” message instead of leaving a blank component, helping editors understand what needs attention.
• Listing filters now display properly on mobile view
• Styling improvements to portrait cards, footer elements and page background colour.
• Card layout issue fixed
  • Cards no longer shift outside their layout area when using landscape images in one‑column sections.
• "Remove image" button restored to normal size
• Button text in dark theme palettes
  • Now displays with proper contrast for improved accessibility.

• Fresco environment checks have been completed to ensure live deployments avoid unnecessary extra downtime.
