Fresco Platform Update – Version 1.4.3 (13 January 2026)

We’re excited to introduce a range of improvements and new features designed to make your experience with Fresco even better.  

• Smarter headings for Accordions
  • You now have the flexibility to choose the heading level for Accordion titles. This means your page structure will always make sense and remain accessible – helping everyone, including those using screen readers, to navigate your content more easily.
• Consistent and accessible design
  • Component styling refresh: We’ve tidied up the behind-the-scenes styling for many components. Everything should look the same, or better, while making things easier to maintain in the future.
  • Full-width elements: All major page sections (like headers, footers, banners, navigation and search drop-downs) now have a maximum content width for a polished, consistent look on large screens. Background colours still stretch edge-to-edge, and everything naturally adapts on mobiles and tablets.
• More control over images
  • You can now align images left, centre, or right within their section – whether you’re adding a new image or editing an existing one. This gives you more creative freedom to make your pages look just right.
• Additional colour options for Departments
  • Departments can now choose from three new colours – History (teal), Chemistry (purple), Biology (green) – when customising their site’s look. These are clearly separated in the colour picker, making it easy to find the right shade.
• New Slideshow Component
  • Showcase up to six pieces of content in a stylish, accessible slideshow. You can add slides manually or select existing content, with easy navigation and clear indicators for users. We’ve prioritised accessibility, so there’s no autoplay, and everything works smoothly with keyboards and screen readers. 

• Consistent Tile Grid images
  • Images in Tile Grids now display at the correct size and shape, with smooth corners and no unexpected stretching.  
• Media Gallery fix
  • Images in the Media Gallery will now keep their proper proportions without distortion.
• Listings update
  • Changing the type of a listing (like switching from events to news) no longer causes errors.  
• Card Component flexibility
  • You can now add Card Components to Tile Grids when they’re inside Tabs or Accordions.
• Event date filter
  • The event date filter now works as expected for all visitors, so only relevant events are shown based on the dates you select.
• Event editing
  • Adding components to an Events no longer causes errors.
• Header/Footer overrides
  • Setting Header or Footer overrides no longer triggers unnecessary error messages in the editor.
• Card sizing
  • Empty cards now fill the space correctly in both column and grid layouts.
