Fresco Platform Update – Version 1.4.11 (12 May 2026)

This release introduces the new Hero component, providing content editors with a flexible new way to create visually prominent page introductions and feature key content. The sprint also delivered a broad range of stabilisation, reliability and platform maintenance improvements across the Fresco platform.

• New Hero component now available
  • The new Hero component is now available for content editors to use across Fresco sites.
  • The component provides a more flexible and visually prominent way to introduce pages and highlight important content, with support for different image and text layouts.
  • This release also includes a number of refinements to Hero behaviour and editing controls to improve reliability and prevent unsupported content configurations.
• Improved Listings
  • When a primary sort field, such as Listing Title, isn't populated on a listing item, Listings automatically applies a secondary alphabetical sort using an item's page title. This produces more consistent and predictable ordering when several items share the same primary sort value.
• More flexible content management controls
  • A new Trash capability has been introduced to support safer content management workflows and reduce the risk of accidental deletion. Items can either be restored from Trash or left to be automatically deleted after 30 days.

• Migration reliability improvements
  • Several migration issues affecting Mosaic‑to‑Fresco moves have been resolved.
    • Selected Content references now migrate more reliably.
    • Some sites that previously failed to migrate now complete successfully.
    • Migration reporting within deployment pipelines has been improved.
• Improved layout and styling consistency
  • A broad set of fixes improves how layouts and styling behave across different components and screen sizes.
    • Narrow content styling now applies correctly in more scenarios, including when viewed anonymously and when headings are followed by text components.
    • Banner title is no longer underlined.
    • Spacing between icons and icon text now displays consistently.
    • Card and banner regions now render only when content is present, reducing unnecessary empty spacing.
    • Portrait and landscape card image presentation has been improved.
    • Image caption alignment controls now behave more reliably for longer captions.
    • Listings using portrait image layouts no longer stretch images unexpectedly.
• Editing and authoring improvements
  • Several issues affecting the editing experience have been corrected.
    • Footer component configuration panels now open correctly.
    • Accordion editing no longer unintentionally updates title fields while adding text components.
    • Rich text previews now display nested numbered lists more accurately.
    • Metadata fields for Person and Location content types now behave consistently with their current configuration.
• Media, cookies and accessibility
  • A number of fixes improve media handling, consent controls and visitor experience.
    • Images that previously failed to load on some sites now display correctly.
    • SharePoint video cookies can now be rejected correctly through consent controls.
    • Responsive image handling has been improved to better support different screen sizes.

• Platform reliability and maintenance
  • This release also includes routine platform maintenance, improvements to cache management and platform resilience, and internal development work to support future platform updates.
