Fresco Platform Update – Version 1.4.10 (20 April 2026)

This release brings more control over buttons and listings, further migration improvements, and a broad set of fixes to make editing, layout behaviour and accessibility more reliable.

• More control over Buttons, Cards and page layout
  • Buttons can now be aligned left, centre or right in standard page layouts, giving editors more control over how calls to action sit within a section.
  • Listings and Selected Content are displayed by default without buttons to improve accessibility compliance and to provide a cleaner card-based presentation where the title itself provides the main interaction.
  • A set of styling refinements has also improved the consistency of Tables, Bullet Lists and Banner layouts across the platform.
• Improved compliance for embedding videos
  • The option to insert remote video through the Text Editor has been removed.
• Better support for migrated content
  • Dynamically sourced Carousels can now be converted into Listings during migration, helping migrated pages retain a clearer structure.
  • Media attributions now carry across more reliably during migration.
  • The Event Presenter and Bio fields now support rich text editing, which will help preserve formatting and links more accurately where those fields have been used heavily in older content.
  • Unsupported embedded tags in migrated rich-text content are now replaced safely, reducing the risk of broken or unusable content after migration.
  • Migration reliability has been improved for larger migrations that previously risked running out of memory.
• Clearer handling of cookies and analytics-related settings
  • The cookie statement has been updated to clarify video-related cookies.
  • The option to add a Google Tag Manager ID has been removed while wider governance is reviewed.

• Banner and Card layouts are more robust
  • Deprecated Banner layout options have been removed more cleanly from the editor.
  • Banner text now behaves more gracefully at narrower widths, rather than overflowing or falling out of the design.
  • Switching between Card or Banner layouts no longer moves images into the wrong part of the component.
  • Portrait Card Button styling has been corrected for clearer contrast and better consistency.
  • Quotation images now keep the correct proportions when author text wraps.
• Editing and media handling are more reliable
  • WebP images can be uploaded again.
  • Images inside Accordions and Tabs now respect their chosen alignment.
  • Adding an image to a Slideshow now saves correctly.
  • Media Gallery item reordering now stays in sync between settings, preview and saved output.
  • Updating or replacing images in Image and Card components is more reliable.
• Readability, spacing and accessibility have been improved
  • Tables in Text components now scroll properly when wider than the available space, rather than forcing horizontal page scrolling.
  • Image captions have more consistent spacing.
  • Bullet lists now render more cleanly in Firefox and align more consistently with numbered lists.
  • Accordion titles now respect truncation to display first 50 characters.
  • Tile Grid spacing and pagination padding are more consistent.
  • Overlay links in Cards, Listings and Selected Content are now handled more accessibly.
• Listings, permissions and migrations behave more predictably
  • Removing selected taxonomy terms from a Listing now saves correctly.
  • Site Managers can no longer access the People admin tab and user-management controls.

• Platform resilience and security
  • This release also includes routine platform maintenance, security updates, and further work to strengthen monitoring, automated testing and operational resilience.
  • Some in-progress functionality has been kept restricted to platform administrators while it is refined.
